+ What is copywriting?
Copywriting is the act of writing copy (words) that intend to
- convert readers into paying customers
- build and maintain a loyal customer base
- clearly communicate your business's personality and values
+ Why does copywriting matter?
Your copy is the bread and butter of your business. Sure, copy can help grow your business and increase profit.
But it’s so much more than that.
Your copy is how you communicate what matters to you. It’s how you articulate your values.
Without copy, your business has no personality. It’s vanilla in the worst way.
… the vanilla that doesn’t even have the little black specks in it. You’re no different from any other tasteless cream-colored ice cream out there. I’m sorry.
+ Where does copywriting fit into my marketing strategy?
In short — copy fits into every aspect of your marketing strategy.
Do you have a website? You need copy!
Are you running ads? They need copy.
Do you have a social media account? It needs copy.
Do you send out a newsletter? It’s all copy.
… webinar? Copy … Opt-in or freebie? Copy … sales pages, product descriptions, program landing pages, thank you emails … it’s ALL copy!
+ What’s with the high price tag?
The price of my services is directly related to the value they provide my clients.
So things like website copy and landing pages are pricier. But they also have a higher return on investment for my clients.
Strong copy is the difference between programs that are booked out with a waitlist and programs that never fill up. So it’s a pretty valuable asset.
+ What is “mindful” copywriting?
I am a mindful copywriter. That means that I primarily work with mindfulness coaches and course creators.
But I also write mindful copy. That means that I write everything with almost compulsive empathy for my reader.
I am intentional about the impact of my writing on the reader, the larger community, the environment, and the world at large.
Salesmen and women are known for the “never take no for an answer” mentality.
… hard pass.
There is very much a time and place for “no.”
I want to sell your products and services to the right people who can afford it and who will benefit from it
+ Can’t I do this on my own?
Yes! You actually can. In order to write strong copy you need three things:
To know how to write for readers on the internet and smartphones.
The time to write and publish consistently.
The desire to actually sit down and write!
(I love writing copy. If you don’t, it’ll show in your writing. It must be written from a place of love, attention, and affection.)
+ How do I know what my copy needs are?
Everyone’s copy needs are different.
